This 1939 Parker Streamline Lady Duofold is a compact American fountain pen from the later years of Parker’s famous Duofold line.

The barrel is marked with Parker’s “9” and two-dot date code, dating production to the second quarter of 1939. At approximately 4½ inches capped, the Lady Duofold offers the classic Duofold design in a smaller, easy-to-carry format.

The pen retains its original three-piece hanging pressure bar and button-filling mechanism. During restoration, the original filling hardware was cleaned and serviced rather than replaced, and a new ink sac was installed. The pen was then reassembled and tested for proper filling and writing performance.

The restoration was intentionally conservative. The goal was to preserve the character of the original pen while returning it to dependable use rather than attempting to make an 87-year-old object appear new.

A particularly satisfying example of a simple Parker mechanism surviving nearly nine decades and going right back to work.

Condition

Restored vintage condition. The pen has been cleaned, polished, mechanically serviced, and tested. The original button-filling mechanism remains in place and operates properly.

Restoration

Cleaned and polished the pen, serviced and polished the original three-piece pressure bar, installed a new #17½ necked ink sac, reassembled the button-filling mechanism, and tested the pen for proper filling and writing.

Known Flaws

No specific flaws are noted. As an original vintage pen dating to 1939, minor surface marks, age-related wear, and other small cosmetic imperfections may be present and should be considered part of its vintage condition.
