This vintage Esterbrook J fountain pen features the classic blue marbled celluloid-style finish of Esterbrook’s postwar J-series pens.
The pen is fitted with an Esterbrook Renew-Point 9550 nib, a higher-grade firm extra-fine nib designed for precise everyday writing. Esterbrook’s interchangeable threaded nib units were one of the defining features of the J-series and allow the nib to be easily changed for different writing styles.
The pen was restored to working condition, with the lever-filling system serviced and the pen cleaned, polished, reassembled, and writing-tested. The 9550 nib produces a fine, controlled line and performed properly during testing.
Condition
Restored vintage condition with normal cosmetic wear consistent with age. Blue finish retains attractive depth and marbling. Filling system operates properly and the 9550 nib was writing-tested after restoration.
