This vintage Parker 51 Special fountain pen features a navy blue barrel and hood paired with Parker’s brushed Lustraloy cap. The streamlined hooded-nib design is one of the defining features of the Parker 51 family and remains one of Parker’s most recognizable mid-century designs.
The 51 Special was designed as a more accessible version of the standard Parker 51 while retaining the same basic writing platform and distinctive styling. This example uses Parker’s Aerometric-style squeeze filling system and is fitted with the hooded nib associated with the Special line.
The pen was cleaned and serviced, including flushing and testing of the filling system. The exterior was cleaned and polished while preserving the original finish, and the pen was writing-tested after restoration to confirm proper ink flow and operation.

Restored vintage condition with normal cosmetic wear consistent with age. Navy blue body and Lustraloy cap present well overall. Filling system operates properly and the pen was writing-tested after restoration.
