The Parker Sonnet has long been one of Parker’s more refined everyday writing instruments, and the Laque Moonbeam finish gives this example considerably more character than the standard solid-color models.

The lacquer features an irregular cream and gray pattern over a deep black background, complemented by gold-tone trim and Parker’s familiar arrow clip. Because the pattern varies naturally across the pen, the finish has an almost stone-like appearance when viewed up close.

This example came to the bench in good working order but with the surface wear expected from previous use. The exterior was carefully cleaned and polished with Micro-Gloss to improve clarity and gloss while preserving the original lacquer.

A new genuine Parker fine-point rollerball refill was installed, and the pen was writing-tested after assembly. It is ready to use as soon as it arrives.

This was intentionally a light-touch service rather than an attempt to make a used pen appear new. Minor marks and signs of previous use remain and are shown in the photographs.

Condition

Pre-owned condition with light cosmetic wear consistent with previous use. The lacquer has been cleaned and polished and presents very well overall. Fine surface marks may remain when viewed closely or under direct light. The gold-tone trim also shows minor age/use wear. Please review the photographs carefully; they show the actual pen being offered and are part of the condition description.

Restoration

Rather than a full mechanical restoration, this Sonnet received the level of intervention it needed: careful cleaning, cosmetic polishing, a fresh refill and a writing test. The goal was preservation and renewed usability rather than removing every trace of its previous life.
